Patch Notes – QA Release #25

Game Update

Greetings Galaxy,

These are the latest developmental changes on the Holocore currently available on Project SWG’s Test Server as of today. For more information and discussion about Project SWG’s open source development check out the Development Discussion.

Loot

  • Updated loot groups for all NPCs (All loot groups / items for NPCs have been completely revamped. This is a continuous process)

Spawns / Patrols

  • Added a new database for dynamic spawn zones (example)
  • Added 3 more patrol NPCs for Mos Eisley cantina (including an astromech waiter droid!)
  • Changed the waypoint marker to a new template (blue head to red shield)

The new database for dynamic spawn zones defines zones where certain NPC groups can spawn in. This can be a complete planet 16000 x 16000 meter or smaller zones for special NPCs like Krayt Dragons or planets like Mustafar and Kashyyyk. At the moment placeholder NPC groups are listed in there. This will also allow us to use existing planets and their buildout areas much better than before (see 2nd picture)

Mustafar terrain

The terrain of Mustafar is 16.000 x 16.000 which contains the 4 main zones (NW / NE / SE / SW) top left and all the small zones for the instances like Sher Kar, Decrepit Droid Factory, Working Droid Factory, Obi Wan Cave and so on.
